ARTS LEADERSHIP
Executive Director, Monarch Chamber Players
As Executive Director and a core performing member of Monarch Chamber Players, I help shape both the artistic vision and day-to-day operations of the organization. My work includes strategic planning, grant writing, fundraising, sponsorship development, financial management, marketing, and community partnerships, alongside regular performances throughout Houston in a wide variety of chamber music settings.
I serve as a primary liaison between our board, community leaders, and civic partners, helping expand Monarch’s reach while keeping our mission centered on accessible, community-driven music making. From neighborhood concerts and museum performances to educational outreach and large-scale collaborations, I’m passionate about building meaningful musical experiences that connect artists and audiences in lasting ways.
Vice President, Houston Flute Club
As Vice President of Houston Flute Club and Coordinator of the Byron Hester Competition, I support one of the region’s most active flute communities through programming, leadership, and educational initiatives. I designed and built the club’s website to streamline many of the organization’s core functions, including event promotion, competition registration, membership management, and public communication. Creating a stronger digital infrastructure has helped the organization run more efficiently while making resources more accessible for students, teachers, and professional flutists across the region.
I care deeply about fostering strong musical communities, and Houston Flute Club allows me to help connect flutists at every stage of their musical journey, from young students preparing for their first competition to established professionals seeking collaboration and mentorship.
Junior Soloist Competition Coordinator, National Flute Association
As Junior Soloist Competition Coordinator for the National Flute Association, I oversee one of the organization’s most prestigious student competitions, working with applicants, judges, and convention leadership to help guide the process from initial submissions through the final live rounds at the annual convention.
This role allows me to support the next generation of young artists on a national level while contributing to the broader flute community that has shaped so much of my own career. I value creating processes that are thoughtful, encouraging, and artist-centered, especially for students navigating major professional milestones.
Core Member, Emissary Quartet
As a core member of Emissary Quartet, I help lead the ensemble’s artistic planning, fundraising, grant writing, marketing, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Our work centers on expanding the possibilities of the flute quartet through contemporary repertoire, new commissions, cross-disciplinary performance projects, and creative residencies across the country.
In addition to performing, I help develop partnerships with composers, visual artists, presenters, and institutions to bring ambitious new projects to life. From university residencies and masterclasses to our debut album [moment]um, I love creating projects with the rest of the quartet that feel both artistically adventurous and deeply collaborative.
